The Alzheimer's Association is now only accepting applications from qualified runners already entered in the Boston Marathon. Founded in 1980, the Alzheimer's Association is the largest voluntary health agency dedicated to eradicating Alzheimer's disease and helping those afflicted with Alzheimer's. Cited as one of America's top charities by Worth magazine numerous times, the Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts Chapter serves all of Massachusetts with its main office in Watertown, and regional offices in Lowell, Sandwich, Springfield, and Worcester.
The Alzheimer's Association's mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research, to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. The Massachusetts Chapter provides education, training and support to over 30,000 individuals each year.
